automation

The human-automation interaction and interface layer: how drivers engage, monitor, hand off to, and reclaim control from automated systems, including mode awareness, trust, transparency, and engagement/disengagement HMI. This is the interface and human-factors side of automation, distinct from the vehicle_automation_adas category that classifies the automation levels and technologies themselves (e.g., l2_supervised, l3_conditional).
