Theoretical Contribution

conceptual framework

A framework, taxonomy, or set of definitions that organizes a problem space: distraction taxonomies, levels-of-automation classifications, definitions of driver state constructs, conceptual models of takeover or engagement. The contribution is structured vocabulary and distinctions for thinking about the domain, not causal explanation (theory_or_model) and not empirical results.
