Theoretical Contribution

theory or model

A verbal psychological theory or explanatory model: attention and workload theories, multiple resource theory, situation awareness frameworks, arousal and effort models, risk homeostasis, task-capability models. The contribution is a conceptual explanation of WHY drivers behave as they do, advanced or tested by the paper. Distinct from a runnable simulation (computational_model) and from classification schemes (conceptual_framework).
